IMPACT World Champion Moose & 2-Time Former Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo Will Be In South Florida For Media Tour, January 11-12
IMPACT Wrestling returns to Fort Lauderdale for the first time in almost 10 years.
IMPACT Wrestling presents two nights of action-packed live pro wrestling on Friday and Saturday, January 21-22, live at the Charles Dodge Center in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The shows are IMPACT’s first in the Fort Lauderdale area since April 2012. In fact, when the first match starts on January 21st, it will be the first IMPACT show in Fort Lauderdale in 3,546 days.
The action both nights will be taped to air on IMPACT’s flagship weekly TV show, Impact!, which airs every Thursday night (8-10 p.m. ET) on AXS TV in the U.S., Fight Network in Canada and Impact Insiders on YouTube.
In advance of the shows, IMPACT World Champion Moose & two-time former Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo will be in South Florida for a 2-Day Media Tour, January 11-12.
Moose is in his first World Championship run after winning the title at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view in Las Vegas this past October.
Quinn Ojinnaka, the real-life Moose, played for four teams over seven seasons in the National Football League, including the New England Patriots, before transitioning to pro wrestling, making his debut in 2012. His NFL career included time as teammates with legendary quarterback Tom Brady while playing for one of the best NFL head coaches in history, Bill Belichick.
An offensive tackle/guard, Ojinnaka played in 62 NFL games after playing at Syracuse University. He was selected in the fifth-round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. Moose & Bill Goldberg are the only former NFL players from the modern era to have gone from the NFL to become the World Champion of a pro wrestling company.
In fact, there are only four others in addition to Moose & Goldberg to have ever gone from the NFL to World Championship glory in pro wrestling, including Bronko Nagurski, who is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The others are: Ernie Ladd, Dick the Bruiser and Gus Sonnenberg.

Deonna Purrazzo is a 2-time former Knockouts World Champion and now the reigning Reina de Reinas Champion for Mexico City-based Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.
A New Jersey native who has been wrestling professionally since 2013, Purrazzo was ranked No. 3 of 150 female wrestlers in Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Women’s 150 in 2021.
“IMPACT Wrestling and pro wrestling as a whole has a long, rich history in the state of Florida, so everyone is thrilled to return to the Sunshine State,” said IMPACT Executive Vice-President Scott D’Amore. “Florida was the company’s home for many years; it’s great to return.”
IMPACT was last in South Florida in March 2014 for the Lockdown pay-per-view, which was held in Coral Gables.
All the IMPACT stars will be in Fort Lauderdale for the January shows, including all of the reigning IMPACT champions: World Champion Moose, Knockouts World Champion Mickie James, World Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers, X-Division Champion Trey Miguel, Knockouts World Tag Team Champions The IInspiration and the Digital Media Champion Jordynne Grace.
Plenty of title-contenders also will be in action in Fort Lauderdale, including Matt Cardona, W. Morrissey, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, Chris Sabin, Eric Young, Heath, Rhino, Josh Alexander, Rich Swann and more. All of the Knockouts will participate in Fort Lauderdale, including Rosemary, Madison Rayne, Deonna Purrazzo, Tasha Steelz and others.
Many of the matches for the Fort Lauderdale shows will be announced in the coming weeks, but surprises are a certainty, too, including wrestlers making their IMPACT Wrestling debut.

Ferguson thinks he has the night off but Giuseppe Scovelli Sr. interrupts and tells him he’ll be defending his title in a North Pole Street Fight against Santa Claus tonight! Santa hits the ring and sends Ferguson retreating to the back.

Chad charges into the corner but Bill sidesteps, causing him to crash crotch-first into the turnbuckle. The referee catches Bill using the ropes for leverage and stops the count. Chad delivers double knuckles to the basement of Bill Ding, followed by a back body drop for two. Bill crashes and burns from the top rope, allowing Chad to secure the victory!

Johnston introduces her signature tire iron into the match but the referee stops her from using it. Georgia lifts Johnston on her shoulders and drives her into the mat to win!

To win this contest, a competitor must touch all four top turnbuckles consecutively. Harry touches three turnbuckles but Bart stops him from hitting the fourth with a spinebuster. Hall hits a Black Hole Slam but Bart quickly shuts his momentum down by hitting him with the cowbell. Bart puts in a choke with the bullrope and drags Hall around the ring. Bart touches the turnbuckles but what he doesn’t realize is that Hall is also touching them. Hall touches all four turnbuckles to win the match!

Belle drives Rusty head-first into the corner turnbuckles. Rip hooks the leg of Belle from the outside, allowing Rusty to gain control. Rusty tries to break her opponent’s back with a submission. Belle hits a back elbow, followed by an acrobatic back flip to score the victory!

Tim launches himself off the top rope and is still unable to take the big man off his feet. Tim saws Eric’s leg in half to break a bear hug submission. Tim finally musters the strength to hit an impressive body slam for three!

The Russians launch themselves off the apron but get caught with shots to the stomach in mid-air. Broski comes alive with a running boot to the Strangler. It looks like Broski has him beat but the Strangler grabs the bottom rope to break the referee’s count. The Russians hit a double team side Russian leg sweep on Broski. Broski uses his water gun before S.T.O.M.P. in Paradise connect with impressive double team offense to win!

Morrissey declares that he came to IMPACT to become World Champion and he plans to do that at Hard To Kill. Morrissey signs the contract and leaves. Matt Cardona, accompanied by Chelsea Green, says nobody has been counted out more than he has but his passion is impossible to kill. Cardona signs the contract after stating that he’ll never be more ready than he will be at Hard To Kill. Moose asks Chelsea what will happen after he proves that Matt will always be “Mid-cardona”. A brawl erupts between Moose and Cardona after more trash talk before Moose drives Cardona through a table. Cardona looks to hit Moose with a chair but Moose ducks and Cardona accidentally strikes Chelsea instead. A concerned and remorseful Cardona demands help for Chelsea.
