Matt Morgan and Crimson were not the best of friends. After both competing in the Bound for Glory Series, they were involved in a three-way bout with Samoa Joe at IMPACT Wrestling’s biggest pay-per-view of the year, Bound for Glory 2011. Crimson picked up the victory in that war of giants but the rivalry between him and Matt Morgan was far from over! The following month at Turning Point 2011, the two faced off in a highly-anticipated singles bout. This was supposed to determine who the better man was once and for all, except the brawl erupted into total chaos and the match ended in a double disqualification!

Then, in a move that nobody saw coming, Matt Morgan and Crimson actually teamed together to challenge Hernandez and Anarquia for the IMPACT Tag Team Championships! The shocks kept coming when Morgan and Crimson were actually able to work together and capture the gold!

At Genesis 2012, Morgan and Crimson were set to defend the tag titles against another odd pairing in Samoa Joe and Magnus. This pairing came about in a Wild Card Tournament that saw random roster members join forces for a shot at the IMPACT Tag Team Championships! After winning it all, the match with the belts on the line was set! Joe and Magnus were looking good in the early going but Morgan and Crimson were on too much of a roll to be dethroned now. After a competitive bout, Morgan and Crimson hit a sick double-team move on Magnus to retain.

The match at Genesis 2012 was so close that management decided to award another title opportunity to Magnus and Joe, despite them attacking Morgan and Crimson after a match on IMPACT! The rematch came at Against All Odds 2012 on pay-per-view and this time, Magnus and Joe had the champs’ number! Magnus connected with a top rope elbow drop on Morgan to win the match and the Tag Team Championships! Crimson did not seem happy that Morgan lost the match for the team but he would get an opportunity to redeem himself.

The finale to this tag team feud was about to go down at Victory Road 2012 on pay-per-view. Joe and Magnus put the tag titles on the line against Morgan and Crimson in what was slated to be the final meeting between the two teams. During the match, Crimson made it clear that he wanted to do most of the work himself, after Morgan took the pin in their match last month. However, Joe and Magnus continued to work as a well-oiled machine and it made all the difference! Morgan and Crimson began to argue and eventually, Crimson committed the ultimate betrayal when he hit his now former tag team partner with a spear! Joe and Magnus took advantage and put Morgan away to retain the titles.
