IMPACT & Las Vegas Building Community

Ortiz was ready to strike. In fact, the LAX star had already notched several strikes and was poised to topple the defending IMPACT Wrestling Bowling Champion, Pentagon Jr., during the recent IMPACT Wrestling VIP Bowling Challenge, held Feb. 17 in Las Vegas. But in the end, it was Pentagon Jr. retaining his Bowling Championship – and bragging rights. Pentagon Jr. is now the two-time IMPACT Wrestling Bowling Champion, and he proudly held the bowling ball title in the post-event group photo. Pentagon Jr. defeated Fenix, Konnan, Santana, Ortiz and Daga.

A first-time IMPACT Wrestling VIP fan was the winner among the fans. Laughter was plentiful in the ever-popular Bowling Challenge, and a few gutter-balls too. The IMPACT Wrestling show on Feb. 15 featured the appearance of numerous former NFL players, including Floyd Little, a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Floyd was even wearing the distinctive yellow sport coat, given to Pro Football Hall of Fame members. Floyd sat in the front-row, alongside fellow former football players Linden King and Morlon Greenwood. All three participated in a press conference to formally kick off the partnership between IMPACT Wrestling and the NFL Alumni Association – Las Vegas chapter.

IMPACT Wrestling president Ed Nordholm was joined at the press conference by Johnny Impact, Taya Valkyrie and Rich Swann. The football players signed autographs and posed for photos with many of the IMPACT stars, such as Moose, Tommy Dreamer, Eddie Edwards and Johnny Impact.

IMPACT Wrestling also crossed into the NHL world while in Las Vegas, as the mascot for the Vegas Golden Knights, Chance, was the special “manager” for The Rascalz in a high-flying match against the Desi Hit Squad, managed by Big D, who is a local DJ at 95.5 The Bull. Let’s just say, Chance looked like an air-traffic controller during this match. Another Vegas highlight was Ace Austin shining in-ring, then posing for a photo after a match with the youngster who received an autographed Austin playing card.
